You are the face of your business.

Your business portrait is typically your first impression whether it's on a web page, a business card, or a brochure. On social media, you are identified by your profile picture, many times before your clients ever meet you. Make it a good first impression.

Your portrait should be warm, welcoming, friendly, and professional. Whether its a candid shot or a traditional looking-right-at-you smile, your potential clients want to know that you are professional yet approachable. A selfie or snapshot isn't going to cut it. An outdated portrait from ten years ago isn't going to cut it. People want to be able to recognize you when they meet you in person. It needs to look like you.

I remember one particular run-in I had with a realtor. A friend had given me her card and I was meeting her at a property. The woman that showed up looked absolutely nothing like the photo on her card. I had to ask her name to make sure I was meeting with the right person.

I know a lot of people don't enjoy having their portraits done or being in front of the camera (I'm one of them). However, it is important to have an annual headshot taken to update your visual brand. I work with an incredible makeup artist and stylist that can help you feel confident and current.

Stand out from the crowd and communicate your professionalism, competence, and attention to detail with an updated business portrait.

Details

Business portraits can be posed or candid. Usually it's a mixture of both. We'll start by communicating about your work and how you want to be portrayed, then we'll choose a location and talk about what to wear. Keeping it simple and clean is key.

I recommend using two looks and shooting for at least 15 minutes. Sessions can take up to 45 minutes depending on what we're going for. Turnaround time is fairly quick on business sessions, as long as you don't require more than basic retouching
. I am able to add branding to images and help you design marketing materials if that's something you need as well.

I love doing business portraits because they can be so empowering and life changing. When you see a nice headshot, you know that the person cares enough about their professional appearance to invest in it. A good portrait exudes confidence, and that is powerful, especially in the business world.

Rates for business sessions start at $185
